CambridgeEditors is a small firm dedicated to quality work, with nearly two decades of experience. Flanked by Harvard and MIT, and directly at the foot of the BU Bridge, our Cambridgeport location encourages one-on-one interaction between local clients and editors. Most of our edits are conducted via email. Focusing on scholarly and academic books, we edit a variety of texts including research proposals, journal articles, creative manuscripts by writers and poets, and corporate and institutional publications. Dr. Harte Weiner — Founder & Lead Editor 

Dr. Harte Weiner has resided in Cambridge continuously since 1985. She earned her B.A. at Harvard University in Philosophy and English. Her advanced degrees include a Ph.D. in English and American Literature, 1890-1950, from Stanford University, and an M.F.A. in Poetry Writing from Columbia University. Dr. Weiner has taught on the faculties of Brown, Tufts, and Harvard Universities, as well as for the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, Phillips Andover Academy, Upward Bound, and the Harvard Summer School for Foreign Students. As an academic tutor to Harvard’s Winthrop House, Dr. Weiner directed Honors theses for undergraduates in the English Department, where she conducted Junior, Senior and Sophomore tutorials in Modernism. Founder and Lead Editor of CambridgeEditors, she began professional editing in 1993. Among her other professional affiliations, Dr. Weiner sits on the Board of Directors of Xamonline, where she previously served as Managing Editor and now remains Consulting Editor.

Holding key posts in the Creative Writing Field, Dr. Weiner served as Contributing Editor to The Paris Review under Jonathan Galassi, and Assistant Director to The Academy of American Poets in New York City, alongside Director Henri Cole in the 1980s. This academic year, her editing work has focused on Dissertations, Creative Theses in several genres—and essays of application to Institutions of Higher Learning. At CambridgeEditors, in addition to editing, Dr. Weiner is available by appointment for one-on-one consultations. She offers workshops on dissertation, creative and expository editing, and multi-session group or individual meetings in areas proposed by clients.
