“Cello Art With Hannah” is an enchanting piece of video art by B.B.G. In it, cellist Hanna Rubin plays an excerpt from Robert Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor beautifully in an imaginative surreal setting; a pleasure for both the eye and the ear. —Jay R. Crook, Ph.D.
Hannah Rubin, a senior in high school, is a cellist and pianist from Bedford, Massachusetts. She studies with Michael Reynolds, a professor at Boston University. A member of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra at New England Conservatory Preparatory School for three years, she performs in chamber groups through NEC Prep. She has been a longtime member of the Lexington Chamber Music Center, a local program that performs for a variety of organizations such as nursing homes, Boston homeless shelters, and Music for Food concerts. In the past few years, she has attended the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and Castleman Quartet Program. Hannah hopes to pursue music as a professional career.
